Located just a few kilometres northeast of town, all sites are easily accessible by all vehicles, but still secluded. Most sites in this area are well shaded, many with a grassy bank leading to the river and provide excellent fishing.
This is a largely flat and open area just 6km from town on bitumen road. Guttapercha and mangroves are the predominate vegetation with several waterways defining the area.
It is a remote area from town crossing margins of the saltpans that can be influenced by the tide. This area is only 10km from town, but feels world's away.
This area provides a combination of camping and day-use sites and is the closest camping to town - two access points approximately 1.0 and 2.5 km from town - with easy access for all manner of vehicles.
